With the help I have received from so many family members over the years, I believe I have the most extensive family records and pictures of the William W. Avery family and his descendants that exist, and I am always ready to share this information with anyone.
This site has been created to help many of us with the Avery family name to learn more about the origin of our name and the history of our bloodline.
Today the Internet opens up doors all around the world for us in a common objective of locating the bloodline of our ancestors. We are becoming more dependent on the Internet, not only for our research, but also as an effective means of sharing our family history with others. For this reason, I believe we have a strong duty to be absolutely certain the information we publish is well researched and documented so others can be confident in the information we provide. We are seeing a lot of misinformation being placed the internet which only adds to the already difficult task of researching the history of our ancestors.
To overcome some of the misinformation that has been published on the internet, I believe the next major step in genealogy research will include the process of DNA testing. With this technology, matching family members is almost 100% perfect. A basic DNA test can be done at home - it is simple, painless and inexpensive.
